Our story
All Ears exists because of one much-loved young man, and because of everyone determined that his story should help save others.
In November 2023, our world was turned upside down. Charlie, a beloved son, brother, uncle, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend, took his own life after struggling with his mental health. He was just 24 years old.
Charlie had so much life ahead of him. He was a passionate Arsenal fan, a lover of live music, and one of the genuinely kind ones, the sort of person who made a room warmer just by being in it. To know Charlie was to love him, and his loss leaves a hole in the hearts of everyone who did.
In the wake of his passing, Charlie's loved ones came together with a single goal: to keep his memory alive and to make a difference for other young people, so that fewer families have to feel what ours has felt.
From that came All Ears, a charity dedicated to tackling the mental health crisis facing young people, and young men especially, across the UK.
Through fundraising and donations, we provide financial support for people to attend accredited Mental Health First Aid courses. Our goal is simple: to equip as many people as possible with the knowledge and skills to recognise the signs that someone is struggling, and the confidence to reach out, listen, and help them find support.
We believe a clouded mind deserves the same immediate care as a broken bone. Physical first aid reacts to what has already happened; mental health first aid can change what happens next. When we look after minds the way we look after bodies, we don't just get by. We look out for one another.
That's what All Ears means. Being there. Paying attention. Listening, properly listening, when someone needs it most. For Charlie, and for everyone like him.
Every donation funds Mental Health First Aid training in his name.
